The Alden Network in Chicago, IL seeks an experienced RN/LPN to provide direct nursing care and supervise nursing assistants in daily operations. You will ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and uphold facility policies to deliver high-quality care.

You will develop and implement patient care plans, perform rounds, document care, and coordinate with physicians. Leadership and effective communication are essential for this role, as is a compassionate, patient-centered

Qualifications

• Current, unencumbered RN or LPN license in IL and/or WI.
• CPR certification within two weeks of employment.
• Knowledge of nursing practices and care of the aged.
• Ability to read, write and speak English.
• Ability to make independent decisions and work with diverse people.
• Demonstrated leadership and supervisory ability.
• Personable, enthusiastic, and resourceful.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care and supervise nursing assistants.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, local standards and facility policies.
• Plan and implement patient care plans.
• Conduct rounds, document care, and communicate with physicians.
• Attend care plan conferences and report concerns.
• Prepare and administer medications as ordered.
• Maintain a warm, calm department atmosphere.
• Assist in admissions, transfers, discharges; complete forms.
