Job summary

The Alden Network is seeking a skilled nursing supervisor in Illinois to provide direct care and oversee daily nursing activities for a unit. You will ensure compliance with federal/state guidelines and maintain high-quality care, while guiding nursing assistants and coordinating with physicians.

Responsibilities include developing care plans, conducting rounds, documenting nursing notes, and participating in care plan conferences.

Qualifications

• Must possess a current, unencumbered license to practice as a RN or LPN in Illinois and/or Wisconsin.
• Must possess current CPR certificate or become certified within two weeks of employment.
• Must be knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and procedures.
• Demonstrates interest and/or knowledge in care of the aged.
• Must read, write, and speak English clearly.
• Must be able to make independent decisions when warranted.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate, and direct the Ladies and Gentlemen of Alden for a respective unit.
• Directly supervise and instruct the Ladies and Gentlemen of Alden to promote job knowledge.
• Ensure all staff follow department policies and dress code.
• Assist in developing a written plan of care for each customer.
• Attend care plan conferences and participate actively.
• Make daily rounds to ensure duties are performed and procedures followed.
• Chart nurses' notes reflecting care provided and patient response.
• Prepare and administer medications and treatments as ordered.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
