Job summary

Eastern State Hospital in Medical Lake, WA is seeking a Registered Nurse 3 (Nurse Supervisor) to lead a nursing team on an assigned ward, supervising staff, and ensuring high-quality patient care.

The Nurse Supervisor will provide clinical oversight, mentor staff, coordinate with physicians and the multidisciplinary team, and respond to emergencies while promoting a recovery‑oriented environment.

Qualifications

• Licensed Registered Nurse in the state of Washington.
• Minimum two years of professional nursing experience.
• Graduated from an accredited school of nursing.
• Knowledge of psychiatric nursing and behavioral health treatment.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and supervision to nursing staff on an assigned ward.
• Plan, organize, evaluate nursing services and coach staff.
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams for patient care.
• Assess patient conditions, administer medications, document changes, communicate with leadership.
• Lead staff during medical and psychiatric emergencies and apply de-escalation techniques.
• Complete staff evaluations and develop corrective action plans.
• Serve as House Supervisor and assist with transport and on-site duties.
