Job summary

The Washington State Department of Social and Health Services is seeking an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse Lead to join Eastern State Hospital in Medical Lake, WA. You will supervise nursing staff and deliver high-quality care on a behavioral health unit under RN oversight.

Evening and night shifts are available with a $2.50/hour differential; on-site work for at least three days a week may earn an additional 5% premium pay.

Qualifications

• Active Washington LPN license required.
• At least 1 year of LPN experience.
• Behavioral health experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide routine, direct patient care on a behavioral health unit under RN supervision.
• Assign daily tasks to nursing staff and guide staff while delivering care per treatment plan.
• Provide feedback to RNs on staff development and performance.
• Report changes in patient conditions to RN3/designee and medical staff.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Educate patients in adaptive living skills during activities and group sessions.
• Transfer, escort, and transport patients as needed.
• Document medication orders and manage supplies and equipment.
