Job summary

South Dakota Department of Corrections seeks a Nurse Supervisor (NM1) based in Pierre to lead nursing staff and ensure high-quality, compliant patient care across clinical settings. You will work with the Health Services Administrator to develop staff, monitor performance, and uphold licensure standards.

The role carries a $35.00–$50.00 hourly rate with full state benefits and SDRS retirement. Applicants must hold an SD RN license or be eligible via eNLC, and have three years of full-time

Qualifications

• Must hold a current RN license from SD Board of Nursing or eNLC state.
• Three years of full-time RN experience in patient care required.
• Bachelor's degree may substitute for one year of experience; advanced degrees substitute more.

Responsibilities

• Ensure nursing policies, standards and documentation meet regulatory requirements.
• Supervise staff and coordinate clinic operations and scheduling.
• Provide patient education and oversee care delivery in multiple clinical settings.
• Maintain unit safety, supply levels and collaboration with other departments.
