Job summary

Qualifications

• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• 1 year of RN experience (required).
• 6 months RN experience in an acute care hospital setting (preferred).
• Bachelor of Science Nursing (BSN) preferred, not required.
• ACLS or BLS certification (ACLS required within 6 months of hire).

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team
• Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessment, analyze assessment data, create a plan of care, implements treatment, and evaluates treatment effectiveness
• Serve as point of contact for patients' care coordination throughout hospital departments
• Act as a patient safety advocate by participating in ongoing quality improvement in the department
• Administer medications in a safe manner consistent with the State of Practice and the organization’s policies and procedures
• Other duties as assigned
