ETSU Department of Internal Medicine seeks an experienced and motivated Nursing Supervisor to lead the daily clinical operations of our Infectious Diseases Clinic. This is a leadership opportunity for a registered nurse (RN) who is passionate about delivering exceptional patient care while supporting a collaborative, multidisciplinary healthcare team.
As the Nursing Supervisor, you will work closely with the Executive Director to oversee the day-to-day functions of the clinic, including coordinating provider schedules, managing laboratory ordering and scheduling, providing clinical triage, monitoring patient flow, administering vaccines, and coordinating prior authorizations.
You will play a key role in ensuring the clinic operates efficiently by maintaining medical supplies and medications, overseeing examination and procedure room readiness, ensuring emergency equipment is properly stocked, and coordinating the maintenance of clinical equipment.
In this leadership position, you will supervise and mentor nursing staff, develop and implement clinical policies and procedures, and foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement. You will also provide education and coaching to staff while ensuring compliance with HIPAA and other regulatory standards to maintain the highest level of patient care and confidentiality.
