Job summary

Encompass Health in the United States is seeking a Nurse Supervisor to lead patient care programs, ensure adherence to procedures, and deliver compassionate rehabilitation services. This role focuses on clinical leadership and operational excellence across units.

You will supervise nursing staff, coordinate with administration, and guide frontline teams to improve patient outcomes while fostering a collaborative, growth-oriented work environment.

Qualifications

• Current RN licensure as required by state regulations.
• BLS certification to be obtained within one year of starting position.
• CRRN certification to be obtained within a year of meeting eligibility.
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or related field preferred.
• Two years of recent inpatient hospital experience (within the last five years).
• Previous leadership role, such as charge nurse or lead capacity, with accountability for patient and staff results.

Responsibilities

• Assist in development and implementation of personalized patient care programs, policies, and procedures.
• Serve as liaison between administration, nursing management, and staff.
• Supervise nursing care, treatment, and services provided during assigned shifts or on a specific unit.
• Monitor and manage staff, including on-the-spot feedback, annual evaluations, and counseling or disciplinary actions.
• Assume patient care as needed and build meaningful relationships with patients to support recovery.
• Celebrate patient victories along the way.
