Job summary

Exalt Health Rehabilitation Hospital Sarasota, LLC seeks a Nurse Staffing Coordinator to optimize staffing and ensure safe patient care in an inpatient rehabilitation setting. You will schedule, adjust in real time, and coordinate with nursing units to maintain operational flow.

You will analyze overtime, agency usage, and census trends, providing timely updates to leadership. Strong communication and attention to acuity are essential in this role.

Qualifications

Current, unencumbered vocational nursing license in the practicing state.
Current BLS certification required.
ACLS certification a plus.
Experience with staffing in an inpatient rehabilitation hospital.
Familiarity with patient classification/acuity systems.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly nursing schedules.
Coordinate with internal staff and utilize agency resources as needed.
Respond promptly to call-ins and absences to ensure coverage across shifts.
Track and approve time off requests in accordance with policies.
Generate staffing metrics and provide reports to leadership.
Communicate schedule changes and overtime requirements clearly to staff.
