Qualifications

• Active RN license in California

• NRP certification within 90 days of hire

Responsibilities

• Supervises nursing staff assigned to a particular shift
• Assigns patients to available nursing staff, considering patient condition and staff skill level
• Assesses, monitors, and educates staff on patient care; institutes emergency procedures as necessary
• Anticipates staffing needs and moves proactively to respond to them
• Oversees stocking of supplies and updating patient records to ensure readiness for subsequent shifts

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As a Nurse Shift Manager, you\'ll oversee a department of frontline nurses caring for patients. Your previous experience in acute care, LTC, or nursing homes adds tremendous value to our nursing team.

Every day you will advocate for your fellow nurses as you support them in reaching their full potential, which aligns with your department\'s operational goals and objectives.

To thrive in this role, you need to be accountable and confident. You\'re an excellent communicator in 1:1 interactions and in front of groups. It\'s also important for you to be comfortable holding tough conversations, as you are responsible for the performance of your people and your unit.

• Supervises nursing staff assigned to a particular shift. Assigns patients to available nursing staff, taking into consideration the patient\'s condition and the employee\'s skill level.
• Assesses, monitors, and educates the nursing staff on patient care. Institutes emergency procedures as necessary.
• Anticipates staffing needs and moves proactively to respond to them.
• Oversees stocking of supplies and updating patient records to ensure that the nursing floor is ready for subsequent shifts.

We are offering a $15,000 sign-on bonus to new hires who meet the eligibility requirements.

Job Requirements

Required

• Associates Of Science in Nursing
• Minimum of two (2) years of clinical experience as a registered nurse
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of California
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification - American Heart Association
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification - American Heart Association
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) - American Heart Association within 90 Days
