Job summary

Seneca Health Care Center, part of The McGuire Group, located in West Seneca, NY, invites nursing students in the PN2 semester of an NYS-approved LPN program to join as a Nurse Shadow.

You will observe licensed nurses, learn workflows, assist with non-clinical tasks, and report observations under supervision, gaining hands-on exposure to long‑term care while collaborating with a professional team.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in the PN2 semester of a NYS-approved LPN program.
• Strong interest in pursuing a nursing career in long-term care.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Observe and shadow assigned LPNs and RNs during daily nursing activities.
• Learn about nursing workflows, communication, documentation, and resident care processes.
• Observe resident conditions and report observations to the assigned preceptor.
• Review vital signs and other resident information under the guidance of the preceptor.
• Assist with gathering supplies and supporting non-clinical tasks as directed.
• Maintain resident privacy, confidentiality, and professional conduct at all times.
• Follow facility policies, safety procedures, and infection control practices.
• Participate in learning opportunities to enhance nursing knowledge and professional development.

Rate: $20/hour

Seneca Health Care Center is looking to add a Nurse Shadow to its team. This position is designed for nursing students enrolled in the PN2 semester of an LPN program who are interested in gaining hands‑on exposure to long-term care nursing. In this role, you'll observe licensed nurses, build clinical knowledge, and gain valuable insight into nursing practice while working alongside experienced healthcare professionals.
