Job summary

UCI Health is seeking an Assistant Nurse Manager to oversee patient care delivery, supervise staff, and uphold nursing practice standards under the Nurse Manager. The role involves budget monitoring, HR duties, and involvement in performance improvement initiatives across the unit and campus.

Successful candidates will have RN licensure, a BSN, and leadership experience, with the ability to work variable shifts and collaborate across the Health System in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Customer service skills appropriate to the job.
• Knowledge of Title 22 and Joint Commission Requirements.
• Demonstrated experience in a leadership role.
• Demonstrated experience in a leadership role which may include leading a project, shared governance chair, charge nurse, etc.
• Complete understanding of patient classification system & staffing requirements for the patient population.
• Ability to work variable shifts including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English.
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload.
• Ability to maintain flexibility and work well in a fast paced, constantly changing environment.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System.

Responsibilities
