Job summary

Mountaire Farms is seeking a per-diem Occupational Health RN in Delaware to provide direct care in an industrial setting. Responsibilities include post-offer physicals, drug screenings, First Aid, and OSHA compliance, with leadership duties in the Medical department as needed.

You will collaborate with the Occupational Health Manager on workers' compensation case management and ensure high-quality employee service.

Qualifications

• RN licensure required.
• Minimum 2 years nursing experience.
• Experience in emergency, occupational health, urgent care or related field preferred.
• Bilingual abilities are a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care in an industrial setting, including post-offer physicals, drug and alcohol screenings, First Aid, wellness education and OSHA compliance.
• Lead and oversee in the Medical department as needed and assist with worker's compensation case management.
• Complete annual competencies and maintain mandatory certifications (CPR, licensure).
• Assist with incident investigations and follow-up visits; communicate with Safety and management.
• Support compliance and logistics for drug and alcohol testing programs.

Primary Purpose

Hours:

Per -Diem, 8 - 16 hrs. Per week, evenings with occasional overnights and Saturdays.

Major Duties & Responsibilities

• Provides exceptional customer service to employees. Ensures that all medical tasks and procedures are completed in a timely and accurate manner. Assists with worker’s compensation management and regulatory compliance programs such as respiratory, bloodborne pathogens (BBP) and hearing screens. Collaborates and communicates effectively with department leaders.
• Completes annual competencies, continuing education and maintains mandatory certifications such as cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and licensure. Attends a minimum of one off-site education or conference annually in leadership or area of specialty. Independently seeks professional development.
• Initiates incident investigations and schedules follow-up visits as needed. Communicates with Safety and management.
• Assists with projects as delegated by the Occupational Health Manager.
• Assists with compliance of drug and alcohol testing programs.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) licensure.
• 2+ years’ nursing experience.
• Emergency, occupational health, urgent care or other relevant experience preferred.
• Bilingual (Spanish or Creole) a plus but not required.
