Job summary

Mountaire Farms is seeking a Hatchery Level B mechanic for the Millsboro, DE hatchery. You will repair, program, inspect, troubleshoot, maintain and adjust equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety on a Monday–Friday night shift.

You will perform preventive maintenance, document work and parts, and respond to breakdowns with proper resources while following PPE and lockout/tagout protocols.

Qualifications

• High school diploma with technical mechanics training preferred.
• 3–5 yrs experience maintaining in a manufacturing setting.
• Experience with 3-phase electrical, plumbing, HVAC and controls; able to handle routine and advanced mechanical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and perform preventative maintenance on Hatchery Equipment and Machinery.
• Daily inspection of Hatchery equipment; detect mechanical/electrical problems and implement solutions.
• Respond to breakdowns and coordinate proper resources to address issues.
• Maintain written records of work performed, corrective actions and parts.
• Adhere to safety requirements including PPE and lockout/tagout procedures.

Execute work orders and perform preventative maintenance and repair for all hatchery related equipment. Detects potential mechanical and electrical problems, maintains the required written records including work performed, corrective actions, and installed replacement parts. Skill set: welding, cutting, light electrical and plumbing.

Hours are Monday - Friday 5:00pm - 1:30am

Educations/Experience Requirements
