Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Nursing is required.
• Registered Nurse license with state of practice is required.
• National certification in the specialty area must be obtained within 1 year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Care plan developed and implemented with other health care team members; coordinates timely professional communication with physicians per the Situation, Background, Assessment, and Recommendation format.
• Uses retention rounds and exit interviews to revise recruitment and retention plans; identifies staffing opportunities for managers.
• Supports service line/department focused activities; uses peer review, education and role modeling for staff development.
• Applies critical thinking to assess and document patient health outcomes; assists in developing assessment tools across physical, psychosocial, growth and development dimensions.
• Translates hospital strategy to nursing units; participates in patient flow development and mentoring for learning and competence.
