Job summary

Parkland Health is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Adult ICU at New Parkland Hospital in Dallas. The role requires nursing assessment, care planning, and execution for critically ill patients, with a focus on patient-centered care and timely interventions.

The RN will collaborate with the healthcare team, adhere to Parkland's nursing practice model, and ensure compliance with state laws and hospital policies. A BSN is preferred, and ongoing professional development is encouraged.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Registered Nursing program; BSN preferred.
• Must graduate by December 2026.
• Must have current RN license in Texas or Compact RN license; must have BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Advocate for patients and coordinate care across the health care team.
• Maintain knowledge of applicable laws, policies, and accreditation requirements.
• Perform patient assessments, identify changes, and implement timely interventions.
• Manage adult ICU patients with neurological, pulmonary, cardiovascular, GI, GU disorders and provide safe medication administration.
• Complete documentation accurately and ensure records meet department standards.
• Stay updated on nursing practice developments and participate in professional activities.
