Job summary

Parkland Health and Hospital System in Dallas seeks an experienced RN for the Adult ICU/Critical Care unit. The nurse will coordinate patient care within the Parkland nursing practice model, assess patients, develop individualized plans, and evaluate responses.

Must have an active Texas RN license or compact license and current BLS. BSN preferred; new grads by December 2026 may be considered through residency pathways.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Registered Nursing program; BSN preferred, must graduate by December 2026.
• Must hold current RN license in Texas or compact and BLS certification by American Heart Association/Red Cross/Military Network.

Responsibilities

• Serves as patient advocate and coordinates care with the health care team.
• Maintains knowledge of applicable laws, policies, and accreditation requirements.
• Performs comprehensive patient assessments and implements timely interventions.
• Manages adult ICU patient care including neurologic, pulmonary, cardiovascular, GI, GU conditions, and safe med administration.
