INTEGRIS Health in Oklahoma City is seeking a Nurse Resident to perform basic patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, focusing on developing competencies across physical, psychosocial, safety, and security needs. The role is for new graduates eligible to take the NCLEX.

Residents may not administer medications or perform independent nursing assessments and may float to other units as needed. Adherence to safety and patient care standards is essential.

Qualifications

• New graduate or eligible to graduate from an accredited Nursing Program with eligibility to take the NCLEX exam.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification within 90 days of hire.

Responsabilités

• Personal patient care tasks such as mouth care, bed making, baths, perineal care, hair care, hygiene, and assisting with feeding.
• Assist with patient safety measures including identification checks, fall prevention, restraints, positioning, and environment for rest.
• Perform basic diagnostic testing such as vital signs, glucose monitoring, EKG, telemetry, pulse oximetry, and Doppler.
• Assist in admission, room preparation, and patient discharge procedures.
• Assist with sterile procedures including specimen collection, wound care, tracheostomy care and suction, catheterization, and feeding tube management.
• May retrieve and transport medications.
