Job summary

Orlando Health’s Nurse Resident Advanced Care position at Orlando Regional Medical Center’s Bone Marrow Transplant Dept. offers night shift coverage (3 x 12's). You will provide bedside care on an advanced care unit, under supervision, with emphasis on patient safety, advocacy, and growth.

The role requires Florida RN licensure, BLS, and possibly ACLS/NRP/PALS/TNCC, with 1 year of experience or AVP-level approval. The program supports professional development and interdisciplinary collaboration.

Qualifications

• 1 year experience required unless AVP level or above approved.
• Maintains current State of Florida RN license or valid eNLC multistate RN license
• Maintains current BLS/Healthcare Provider certification.
• ACLS, NRP, PALS, TNCC are required for certain areas. NRP required for NICU.

Responsibilities

• Administers bedside patient care in a hospital/inpatient setting under supervision of a preceptor, leader, or charge nurse.
• Assesses patients’ needs and develops/revises care plans based on needs and responses.
• Respects diversity by building respectful relationships with all team members and customers.
• Functions as an advocate for patients and their families.
• Demonstrates knowledge to provide age-appropriate care on assigned unit/department.
• Serves as a preceptor, charge nurse, unit educator, and/or nurse clinician.
• Collaborates with medical staff and interdisciplinary team to plan and manage the unit/department.
• Communicates information regarding patient condition to team members.
• Maintains regular attendance and compliance with Orlando Health policies.
