Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a Graduate Resident Nurse for our 7 Central unit, a dynamic inpatient medical-surgical service focusing on Orthopedic Surgery, Neurosurgery, and Trauma care. New graduates enter a comprehensive Nurse Residency Program with supervision and ongoing education.

The role emphasizes safe patient care, teamwork, and professional development within a fast-paced, quality-driven environment that values compassionate, patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a state approved and/or accredited School of Nursing.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Current license to practice professional nursing from the Massachusetts Board of Registration; graduating nursing students must provide NCLEX registration documentation when eligible.
• American Heart Association - Basic Life Support Certificate (BLS) is required.

Responsibilities

• Administers medications and treatments.
• Coordinates and assists in the care of patients and directs assistive personnel to provide safe, effective patient-centered care.
• Develops a collegial and collaborative relationship with other professionals to determine healthcare needs of patients and families.
• Maintains patient safety and adheres to nursing policy and procedures.
