Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking Nurse Residents for an entry-level clinical role on Farr 9, a fast-paced telemetry unit. You will participate in a 12‑month Transition to Practice program, blending classroom seminars with hands-on precepted experience to build critical thinking and clinical competence.

The program is overseen by a Nurse Leader and aims to empower newly licensed nurses to transition into professional practice, while supporting growth and patient safety in a busy acute care

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing required.
• RN license required with Basic Life Support.
• 0–1 years related work experience.
• American Heart Association – Basic Life Support.
• Basic familiarity with computers and basic navigation of web-based applications.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct care to patients and makes nursing judgments; develops and implements a care plan with evaluation.
• Coordinates patient care and directs assistive personnel to provide safe, efficient, patient-centered care.
• Develops collaborative relationships with health professionals and communicates effectively with patients and families.
• Maintains mandatory education requirements and coordinates with the unit educator or clinical nurse specialist for growth.
• Demonstrates commitment to patients, staff, and Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center.
