Job summary

Prisma Health invites new graduate nurses to apply for the Nurse Residency Program at Richland Hospital in Columbia. You will complete core clinical training, participate in quality and safety classes, and work under supervision to validate skills with clinical mentors.

The cohort begins February/March 2027 and requires graduation before January 1, 2027. Location is Richland, Unit 9E Acute Care of the Elderly and Oncology.

Qualifications

• Education - Associate degree in Nursing; BSN preferred.
• No prior experience required; candidates with greater than 12 months of experience are not eligible.

Responsibilities

• Attend quality and core curriculum classes and complete clinical competencies under supervision.
• Perform nursing assessments under direct supervision of a licensed RN.
• Develop a plan of care incorporating patient and family input; coordinate with other disciplines under supervision.
• Record care delivered and monitor patient status per unit standards; document appropriately.
• Participate in QI processes and assist with staffing and safety initiatives as required.
