Job summary

Prisma Health is seeking new graduate nurses to join the Nurse Residency Program at Richland Hospital, 8E Orthopedics. This program blends core clinical training with specialty education, mentorship, and hands-on patient care experiences.

Cohort Start Date: February 2027. Graduation must be prior to January 15, 2027. ADN or BSN preferred; Graduate Nurse licensure pathway may be accepted until NCLEX completion.

Qualifications

• Education - ADN or BSN preferred; graduate from an accredited Nursing program.
• No experience required; less than 1 year ideal; licensure pathway described for Graduate Nurse.

Responsibilities

• Collects patient data and completes forms per unit standards; identifies problems and priorities.
• Develops a plan of care with input from patient/family and coordinates referrals under RN oversight.
• Performs nursing procedures and provides discharge teaching; documents care and outcomes.
• Under supervision, delegates tasks and participates in QI processes and staffing decisions as needed.
• Completes clinical skills and competencies under the supervision of a licensed RN.
