Job summary

Parkland Health and Hospital System is seeking a Registered Nurse at Moody Outpatient Center, 5th Floor, to coordinate patient care using the nursing process. The RN will assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care with an emphasis on the adult ICU and critical care standards.

The ideal candidate will have a Texas RN license (compact allowed), current BLS, and BSN preferred with progression toward graduation in December 2026.

Qualifications

• Must have current, valid RN license from Texas Board of Nursing or compact license.
• Must hold current BLS for Healthcare Providers certification.

Responsibilities

• Acts as patient advocate, ensures patient rights and confidentiality.
• Maintains knowledge of regulations and compliance standards.
• Performs comprehensive patient assessments and responds to changes in condition.
• Delivers nursing care per Act, protocols, and care plans.
• Documents thoroughly in patient records and hospital documentation.
• Uses independent judgment to ensure safe nursing care for ICU patients.
• Coordinates care with the healthcare team and provides education to patients/families.
