Job summary

Parkland Health is seeking a registered nurse to support the Adult ICU/Critical Care unit at Moody Outpatient Center, 5th Floor. The RN will coordinate patient care using the nursing process, assess patients, and delegate tasks per the Texas Nursing Practice Act.

Candidates must have a Texas RN license and BLS certification. Those with 9+ months experience may apply; residency is required if under this threshold. BSN preferred, with graduation by December 2026.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Registered Nursing program; BSN preferred.
• Must graduate by December 2026.

Responsibilities

• Serves as a patient advocate and coordinates care with the health care team.
• Maintains knowledge of applicable rules, regulations, policies, laws and guidelines; ensures compliance.
• Performs patient assessments, recognizes condition changes and implements timely interventions.
• Manages adult ICU patient care including neurological, pulmonary, cardiovascular, GI, genitourinary disorders.
• Completes documentation and maintains accurate patient care records.
