Job summary

AdventHealth in Texas seeks a Nurse Professional Development (NPD) Practitioner to lead nursing education, onboarding, and ongoing competency development. You will design and implement orientation, coaching, and evidence-based learning activities across the unit, fostering a culture of inquiry and patient-centered care.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's of Nursing with RN licensure, and has 2+ years hospital nursing experience plus strong teaching or precepting skills.

Qualifications

• RN license required.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications required.
• 2+ years of nursing experience in a hospital setting.
• Teaching or precepting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead orientation for new staff using ANPD standards and NPD Practice model.
• Develop and coordinate education plans for competency validation.
• Design engaging education activities and coordinate lifelong learning initiatives.
• Support the preceptor program and student placement.
