Job summary

GBMC in Baltimore seeks a skilled Quality and Patient Safety Specialist to lead accreditation readiness, performance improvement and patient safety initiatives. You will review events, coordinate physician peer reviews and deliver education to clinical staff.

Responsibilities include coordinating regulatory compliance, data analysis and committee facilitation, while applying IHI and PDSA methods to improve outcomes and patient experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nursing; Master's degree preferred.
• Experience in Joint Commission accredited hospital or similar health-care setting.

Responsibilities

• Participates in onsite TJC and CMS survey site visits.
• Conducts orientation of new employees regarding quality and patient safety.
• Regular rounds on assigned units to collaborate with leaders and staff.
• Reviews safety events, triages and analyzes events, and prepares action items.
• Facilitates Comprehensive Systematic Analyses with corrective actions and measures of success.
• Leads data-driven improvement, new action items, and governance reporting.
