The Acute Care Program is seeking a full-time, 0.6 FTE, permanent Nurse Practitioner to support an exciting initiative in the CAMH Bridging Service. The Nurse Practitioner (NP), working within the scope of practice of a Registered Nurse (Extended Class) [RN(EC)], will function as a team member in the new Virtual Urgent Care Clinic (VUCC), the first of its kind devoted to mental health. The successful candidate will also contribute to the ongoing improvement of the VUC program.
When not engaged with the VUCC, the successful candidate may work as part of the interprofessional team in the Bridging Service, which provides short-term, low barrier, rapid access care for clients recently discharged from inpatient units or diverted from the ED. The service includes medication management, housing and financial support, and psychosocial support. Reporting to the Manager of the Bridging Service, the NP will collaborate with various teams within CAMH and external supports to provide comprehensive care, including health assessments, follow-up, treatment, and crisis management, including suicide risk assessment, in accordance with relevant standards and legislation.
Please Note: This is a 0.6 FTE, full-time, permanent position with potential for additional hours, part of the ONA Bargaining Unit.
