Job Summary:

We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with a minimum of five years experience in emergency medicine or urgent care for a virtual urgent care position.

Job Duties:

• Perform acute triage, evaluation, and treatment to care for new or established patients in a virtual setting.
• Demonstrate autonomy through patient evaluation, assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up care.

Additional Details:

• Work will be done remotely in a virtual clinic.
• Virtual clinic hours are from 7 am to 7 pm, Monday through Sunday.
• 72 templated hours and 8 discretionary hours per week.
• Every third weekend – 6 shifts in two weeks.
• Patient census: maximum of 46 patients per day, with 15-minute appointment blocks.
• No overnight shifts.
• Closed on six major holidays.

Requirements:

• At least five years of clinical experience in urgent care or emergency department setting.
• Ability to treat patients aged two and older.
• Private workspace and good broadband connection.

Equipment Provided:

• Geisinger computer, webcam, monitors, etc.

Position Details:

• Education: Master's Degree in Nursing (Nurse Practitioner) or Physician Assistant (Required).
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years as an Advanced Practice Provider (Required).
• Certifications and Licenses: BLS, Nurse Practitioner certification from the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, PA license in Pennsylvania.
