Virtual Care Clinic Doctor (Multi-State Licensed)
Join to apply for the Virtual Care Clinic Doctor (Multi-State Licensed) role at HealthTap
- We are hiring doctors for our Virtual Primary Care (PC) and our Virtual Urgent Care (UC) clinics
- Doctors in PC clinic see scheduled new and follow-up patients who have selected them to be their doctor. PC doctors are paid per visit and also paid monthly based on the size of their patient panel. When demand in UC is high, PC doctors may have scheduled UC visits or get on demand calls if they have no scheduled appointments during their scheduled office hours.
- Doctors in UC clinic see patients on-demand, and are compensated per visit.
- You may practice primary and/or urgent care by video from the comfort of your home office, or from anywhere you have a private setting and a good Internet connection.
- HealthTap is hiring multi-state-licensed primary and urgent care doctors (MDs, DOs, or equivalent degrees) for full-time and part-time roles in our growing virtual care clinic serving all 50 states and D.C.
- Doctors in the HealthTap Medical Group provide high-quality virtual care to patients located in states where they hold an active medical license.
- Doctors have flexibility for their scheduled hours, which vary between Primary Care and Urgent Care clinics. You will help us provide coverage during the hours that are most needed.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, compassionate virtual care via video visits, using your secure and compliant laptop or desktop computer.
- PC clinic doctors evaluate and manage patients who have ongoing need for care, plus support and encourage healthy living lifestyles and recommended preventive care. Their patients also will turn to them with their urgent care needs.
- UC clinic doctors evaluate and treat the wide range of conditions that present for on-demand virtual care. Reasons for UC visits include upper respiratory illnesses, UTIs, sore throats, eye/ear infections, and requests for prescription refills.
- Offer education and guidance to patients on their health concerns.
- Prescribe medications electronically (except we do not offer prescriptions for DEA and state-scheduled drugs).
- Order and review lab tests and provide follow-up recommendations.
- Fill out work, school, and medical excuse notes when appropriate.
- Refer patients to in-person care when necessary.
- Write appropriate medical notes (SOAP format) with followup recommendations after each visit.
- Participate in peer-review and quality-improvement initiatives.
