Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health in Texas seeks a licensed Nurse Practitioner to provide direct patient care across specialty clinics, with prescriptive authority and independent billing by Medicare/Medicaid.

The Advanced Practice Provider will work under supervising physician scope, develop treatment plans, order tests, counsel patients, and collaborate with a care team to deliver high-quality outcomes in inpatient, outpatient, or procedural settings.

Qualifications

• EDUCATION - Grad of an Accredited Program
• EXPERIENCE - Less than 1 Year of Experience
• RN and NP licensure in Texas with active credentials
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire

Responsibilities

• Assesses physical and mental condition; performs comprehensive exams.
• Orders and interprets labs and tests to guide care.
• Prescribes medications and therapies; follows cost-effective protocols.
• Forms treatment plans; collaborates with physicians and team.
• Counsels patients and families on medical processes and medications.
• Maintains patient records and ensures proper referrals when needed.
• Provides consultation for conditions related to specialty training.
• Manages patients in inpatient, outpatient, or procedural settings.
