Job summary

Premise Health is seeking a PRN Family Nurse Practitioner to provide clinical care to client employees and dependents at our Health Center in Andalusia, AL. The scheduled hours are PRN, as needed, with health center hours Monday–Friday 8a-5p.

The role involves performing exams, procedures, care planning, test interpretation, and collaboration with physicians to ensure comprehensive care. Must have ambulatory care experience and current NP licensure.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Alabama and NP licensure as applicable.
• Current national certification (ANCC or AANP) required.
• Prescriptive authority and DEA license as needed per state.
• Minimum three years of clinical experience in ambulatory care, family practice, or occupational health.

Responsibilities

• Conducts physical exams and preventive health measures per guidelines.
• Performs procedures such as injections, suturing, wound care, and infection management.
• Develops patient care plans, records progress, and ensures continuity of care.
• Educates patients on treatment plans and health maintenance.
• Orders and interprets diagnostic tests to assess clinical conditions.
• Collaborates with physicians and healthcare teams for comprehensive care.
• Prescribes or recommends treatments, including medications and therapies.
• Refers patients to specialists as needed.
• Maintains patient health records with accurate documentation.
• Educates and coaches nursing staff on best practices.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

As a PRN Family Nurse Practitioner, you'll provide care to client employees and their dependents in our Health Center located in Andalusia, AL. The scheduled hours are PRN, as needed. The the Health Center hours are Monday - Friday 8a-5p.

What You’ll Do

What You’ll Bring

• Maintains state RN licenses/certificates to practice
• Maintains Nurse Practitioner licenses/certificates to practice
• Maintains State Prescriptive Authority (if applicable)
• Federal DEA license (matching each state of practice as applicable)
• State Narcotic/Controlled Substance license if required in your state (Alabama, Connecticut, DC, Delaware, Hawaii, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Nevada, New Jersey, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, Utah, Wyoming, Puerto Rico) (New York ROPES registration)
• Current national certification (ANCC or AANP required)
• Master’s Degree in Science of Nursing (if Master Degree in Science certificate does not state Nursing on it then a copy of transcripts is required)
• Current certification with hands-on training in AHA, ARC or equivalent Basic Life Support for health care providers is required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support may also be required based on contract scope of services
• At least three years of clinical experience as a Nurse Practitioner in an ambulatory care, occupational health, family practice or emergency department setting
