Qualifikationen

• Master's Degree required in a Nurse Practitioner program.
• Current NY RN license and NP license.
• National Board Certification in specialty area; must obtain within 1 year.
• Collaborative practice agreement or attestation per NY NP Act.
• Clinical practice experience preferred; NICU experience preferred.
• Maintains professional documentation and infection control training.

• Obtains, documents and updates medical history; conducts examinations and preventive screenings.
• Orders, interprets tests; prescribes and administers therapies.
• Reassesses and adjusts care to achieve health goals.
• Participates in team meetings and multidisciplinary committees.
• Contributes to quality improvement projects and research studies.
• Maintains documentation including licenses, certifications, infection control, ACLS/BLS, and DEA.
• Provides staff education and acts as resource to nursing staff.
• Discusses advanced directives and end-of-life issues as applicable.
