Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in a Nurse Practitioner Program is required.
• Current NYS NP license and NYS RN license are required.
• Collaborative practice agreement or attestation per NY Nurse Practitioner Modernization Act.
• Bachelor’s Degree required; ARC-PA accredited program preferred.
• Current NYS PA license is required.
• Current BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Take initial patient histories and perform physical examinations.
• Initiate and document the plan of care with follow-up for screening and preparation.
• Perform daily patient rounds and interpret lab results.
• Write orders for medications, labs, and diagnostics.
• Coordinate with physicians and care teams to ensure quality patient care.
• Note discharge summaries and referrals on charts.
• Instruct patients on post-discharge care instructions.
