Responsibilities

• Obtains patient history and performs assessment via observation, interview, and examination.
• Orders, performs, and interprets diagnostic studies.
• Provides direct treatment and management of health conditions via prescriptive authority or referral.
• Provides counseling and education to patients and families about preventative care and resources.
• Documents assessment and care plans accurately and timely.
• May coordinate patient registration information collection and entry.
