Union Health in Terre Haute, IN is seeking a Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant to join our Behavioral Health - Perinatal team. The role provides behavioral health care with a peri-natal focus across obstetrics, tele-health, and ER/OB consultation within a multidisciplinary team.

The ideal candidate will have an MSN or PA program degree, Indiana RN license, 2+ years PMHNP experience, and Perinatal Mental Health Certification (or willing to obtain within 6 months). Full-time, day shift.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited MSN or PA program.
• Must have Indiana RN license.
• Must have 2 years’ PMHNP experience.
• Must have Perinatal Mental Health Certification or be willing to obtain within 6 months of employment.
• Must have active APRN or PA license.

Responsibilities

• Provide behavioral health care to patients focusing on Peri-Natal Mental Health.
• Treat across obstetrics, Tele-health, ER/OB consultation.
• Collaborate in a multidisciplinary team model.
• Complete routine physical assessments and document plans and prognosis.
• Educate patients to promote self-care and independence.

Primary role is:

• Provide behavioral health care to patients within Union Health system, focusing on Peri-Natal Mental Health. This position will provide services in a variety of areas, including but not limited to, Obstetrics, Tele-health, ER/OB Consultation. This role will collaborate in a multidisciplinary team model.

Essential Job Duties:

• Completes the routine physical assessment using common assessment skills in a systematic manner.
• Orders, interprets, and evaluates diagnostic tests to identify and assess patient's clinical problems and health care needs.
• Records physical findings, formulates plan and prognosis, based on patient's condition.
• Performs physical examinations and behavioral health measures within prescribed guidelines and instructions of physician.
• Respects patients' rights, including the right to inform, privacy, confidentiality, and the right to refuse care.
• Assists with patient education to promote self-care and patient independence.
• Follows company policies and procedures and department protocols.

Qualifications:

• Graduate from an accredited MSN or PA program
• Must have Indiana RN license
• Must have 2 years’ experience as PMHNP
• Must have Perinatal Mental Health Certification or be willing to obtain within 6 months of employment
• Must have active APRN or PA/CSR license

License/Certification:

• BLS certification
• ANCC PMHNP or PA specializing in psychiatry
• Must have or be willing to obtain Perinatal Mental Health Certification within 6 months of hire.
