AltaMed Health Services is seeking a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner for a per diem role in Pico Rivera, CA. The NP will provide medical services to clients under supervision, with autonomy in exams, diagnosis, treatment, and care planning.

Responsibilities include examining and treating patients, prescribing medications when appropriate, ordering diagnostic tests, and advising families on continuing care. California NP licensure and required certifications are essential; bilingual English/Spanish

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Baccalaureate school of nursing.
• Current licensure in the State of California.
• Certification as an Adult/Family/Pediatric/Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner.
• Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred.
• A minimum requirement of a valid BLS certification per AHA/Red Cross guidelines.
• Experience with EMR systems preferred.

Job Overview

A Per-Diem Nurse Practitioner, under the supervision of the Associate Medical Director & Clinic Administrator, will provide medical services to clients, ensuring appropriate and professional medical services. Examines and treats patients independently and in autonomous collaboration with other health care professionals. Ensures proper illness and injury care and disease prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and recovery. May prescribe medications and order diagnostic tests. Advises patients about continuing care.

Minimum Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited Baccalaureate school of nursing.

• Completed training in the diagnosis and management of common as well as some complex medical conditions.

• Current licensure in the State of California.

• Certification as an Adult/Family/Pediatric/Women's Health Nurse Practitioner.

• Previous experience with computer-based systems is required. Electronic Medical Records experience preferred.

• Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred.

• A minimum requirement of a valid BLS certification or higher, following the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross guidelines.

Compensation

Pay for this job starts at $77.25 hourly
