AltaMed Health Services Corp. is seeking a Per-Diem Nurse Practitioner to deliver medical services under supervision and in collaboration with health professionals. You will examine and treat patients, manage illnesses, and contribute to disease prevention and recovery.

The role requires CA NP licensure with possible BLS certification, EMR experience, and bilingual Spanish/English skills. Remote work is not indicated; compensation starts at $77.25 hourly with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
• Certification as a Nurse Practitioner (Adult/Family/Pediatric/Women's Health) and CA licensure.
• Current licensure in the State of California.
• BLS or higher certification.
• Experience with computer-based systems/EMR preferred.
• Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide medical services to clients under supervision; examine and treat patients.
• Prescribe medications and order diagnostic tests as appropriate.
• Advise patients on continuing care and prevention.

Job Overview

A Per-Diem Nurse Practitioner, under the supervision of the Associate Medical Director & Clinic Administrator, will provide medical services to clients, ensuring appropriate and professional medical services. Examines and treats patients independently and in autonomous collaboration with other health care professionals. Ensures proper illness and injury care and disease prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and recovery. May prescribe medications and order diagnostic tests. Advises patients about continuing care.

Minimum Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited Baccalaureate school of nursing.
• Completed training in the diagnosis and management of common as well as some complex medical conditions.
• Current licensure in the State of California.
• Certification as an Adult/Family/Pediatric/Women's Health Nurse Practitioner.
• Previous experience with computer-based systems is required. Electronic Medical Records experience preferred.
• Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred.
• A minimum requirement of a valid BLS certification or higher, following the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross guidelines.

Pay for this job starts at $77.25 hourly
