AltaMed Health Services Corp. in Pico Rivera, CA is seeking a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (per diem) to provide high-quality pediatric care under the supervision of the Associate Medical Director & Clinic Administrator.

The role supports in-person patient visits, treatment, and care coordination with the health team. Qualified candidates will hold a CA NP license with appropriate certification, BLS, and experience in pediatrics; bilingual Spanish/English is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing from an accredited program.
• Current California RN license and NP certification in required specialty.
• Experience with electronic medical records; bilingual in Spanish and English preferred.
• BLS certification required per guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Provide medical services to pediatric patients under supervision.
• Examine and treat patients independently and with a collaborative team.

Examines and treats patients independently and in autonomous collaboration with other health care professionals. Ensures proper illness and injury care and disease prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and recovery. May prescribe medications and order diagnostic tests. Advises patients about continuing care.**Minimum Requirements*** Graduation from an accredited Baccalaureate school of nursing.* Completed training in the diagnosis and management of common as well as some complex medical conditions.* Current licensure in the State of California.* Certification as an Adult/Family/Pediatric/Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner.* Previous experience with computer-based systems is required.
