AltaMed Health Services Corp. is seeking a Per-Diem Nurse Practitioner in Pasadena, CA. You will provide medical services under supervision, examining and treating patients and coordinating with a diverse healthcare team.

Requirements include CA RN license, NP certification (Adult/Family/Pediatric/Women's Health), and EMR experience. Bilingual Spanish/English preferred. In-person duties with competitive hourly pay and growth opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited BSN program.
• California Registered Nurse license (RN) in good standing.
• Nurse Practitioner certification: Adult/Family/Pediatric/Women's Health.
• Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) preferred.
• Spanish/English bilingual preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide medical services to clients under supervision of the medical director and clinic administrator.
• Examine and treat patients independently and in collaboration with other health professionals.
• Diagnose, treat, and prevent illness; may prescribe medications and order diagnostic tests.
• Advise patients on continuing care and follow-up as needed.

Job Overview

A Per-Diem Nurse Practitioner, under the supervision of the Associate Medical Director & Clinic Administrator, will provide medical services to clients, ensuring appropriate and professional medical services. Examines and treats patients independently and in autonomous collaboration with other health care professionals. Ensures proper illness and injury care and disease prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and recovery. May prescribe medications and order diagnostic tests. Advises patients about continuing care.

Minimum Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited Baccalaureate school of nursing.
• Completed training in the diagnosis and management of common as well as some complex medical conditions.
• Current licensure in the State of California.
• Certification as an Adult/Family/Pediatric/Women's Health Nurse Practitioner.
• Previous experience with computer-based systems is required. Electronic Medical Records experience preferred.
• Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred.
• A minimum requirement of a valid BLS certification or higher, following the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross guidelines.

Compensation

Pay for this job starts at $77.25 hourly
