Qualifications

Master's degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
Current and unrestricted Florida APRN license applicable to the position.
CPR/BLS certification as required.

Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive medical care under physician direction and collaboration.
Review patient care plans, charts and records; assess routine visits.
Diagnose common illnesses; propose care procedures, treatments and medications.
Order routine diagnostic tests and arrange appointments.
Explain procedures, discuss preventive practices and healthy living guidelines.
Prescribe drug therapy per established protocol; discuss benefits/side effects.
Refer complex cases to supervising physician as needed.
Collaborate with physicians, nurses and medical staff; communicate care concerns.
