Qualifications

• Master's degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
• Current and unrestricted Florida APRN license applicable to the position.
• CPR/BLS certification as required.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive medical care under physician direction and collaboration.
• Review patient care plans, charts and records; assess routine visits.
• Diagnose common illnesses; propose care procedures, treatments and medications.
• Order routine diagnostic tests and arrange appointments.
• Explain procedures, discuss preventive practices and healthy living guidelines.
• Prescribe drug therapy per established protocol; discuss benefits/side effects.
• Refer complex cases to supervising physician as needed.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses and medical staff; communicate care concerns.

What Youll Do

As a Nurse Practitioner you will provide comprehensive medical care under the direction and collaboration of our physicians Your responsibilities will include Reviews patient care plans charts and recordsAssesses patients during routine office visits Diagnoses common illnesses and recommends care procedures treatments medications and drug therapy as appropriateOrders routine diagnostic tests and assists patients in arranging appointments Discusses and explains proceduresConducts physical examinations and assesses and records the general health of patientsRecommends preventive practices dietary requirements and healthy living guidelines to patientsPrescribes routine drug therapy in accordance with established protocol Thoroughly explains drug benefits side effects and potential reactionsRefers more complex cases to supervising Physician for consultation Directs patients to Physician Specialists as necessaryCollaborating closely with physicians nurses medical assistants and other members of the healthcare teamCommunicating significant patient care concerns or operational issues to appropriate leadershipParticipating in meetings committees continuing education and quality improvement initiatives as requested
