Job summary

Yoh, a Day & Zimmermann Company, is seeking a Nurse Practitioner for an occupational health clinic in Hagerstown, MD. The role runs Monday through Friday from 3:00 pm to 11:00 pm, on a contract through 9/4 with potential extension or direct placement.

Pay ranges from $65 to $80 per hour, DOE. Responsibilities include exams, ordering and interpreting tests, and coordinating with physicians to deliver comprehensive patient care. NIC duties also include documentation and referrals as needed.

Qualifications

• Valid Nurse Practitioner license to practice in Maryland.
• Current BLS certification.
• Occupational health experience preferred but open to related experience.
• DOT certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Performs physical examinations and preventive health measures within prescribed guidelines and instructions of Physician.
• Orders, interprets, and evaluates diagnostic tests to identify and assess patients’ clinical problems and health care needs.
• Records physical findings, and formulates plan and prognosis, based on patient’s condition.
• Collaborates with Physician and other health professionals to prepare comprehensive patient care plan as necessary.
• Prescribes medications or other treatments such as physical therapy or inhalation therapy as appropriate.
• Refers patients to Physician for consultation or to specialized health resources for treatment.

needed for a contract opportunity with our occupational health clinic located in Hagerstown, MD. This is an occupational health clinic within an automotive facility.

Schedule: M-F 3p-11p

Duration: 7/24-9/4 with possible extension or direct placement

Pay: $65-80/hr DOE

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Performs physical examinations and preventive health measures within prescribed guidelines and instructions of Physician.
• Orders, interprets, and evaluates diagnostic tests to identify and assess patients’ clinical problems and health care needs.
• Records physical findings, and formulates plan and prognosis, based on patient’s condition. Provides written home-going instructions.
• Collaborates with Physician and other health professionals to prepare comprehensive patient care plan as necessary.
• Prescribes or recommends medications or other forms of treatment such as physical therapy, inhalation therapy, or related therapeutic procedures.
• Refers patients to Physician for consultation or to specialized health resources for treatment.
• Maintains medical records using (In some health centers it may be using Electronic Medical Record software).

What You Need to Bring to the Table:

• All NP licenses and education to practice
• Current BLS certification
• Occ Health experience preferred but open to candidates with related experience
• DOT certification a plus
