Job summary

Main Line Health in Media, PA is seeking an Inpatient Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Gastroenterology team at Riddle Memorial Hospital. The role focuses on inpatient GI care, collaborating with GI physicians and APPs to provide high-quality patient care.

Requirements include completion of an NP/PA program, MSN, PA or CRNP license in Pennsylvania, and BLS/ACLS (PALS optional). Full-time daytime schedule with no nights or on-call.

Qualifications

• Completion of a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program required.
• MSN required.
• Licensed by the Pennsylvania State Board as a CRNP or PA.
• Provider BLS required.
• ACLS certification required.
• PALS may be required.
• MLH credentialing process for privileges.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage inpatient GI patients in collaboration with GI physicians.
• Prescribe medical therapy and participate in care planning with the team.
• Support quality and evidence-based care initiatives to improve patient outcomes.
• Maintain MLH credentialing and privileges as applicable.

Position:

Nurse Practitioner, NP or Physician Assistant, PA - Inpatient Gastroenterology

Shift:

Full Time, 40 hours/week - Day Shift. No Nights, Holiday's or On-call

Experience:

1. 2 years Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistance experience in Inpatient GI or Acute Care Setting highly preferred.

2. Minimum of 2 years Nursing experience in Critical Care or Acute Care preferred.

3. New Grads MAY be considered with relevant previous experience in Acute / Critical Care areas and relevant GI and inpatient clinical rotations

Education:

1. Completion of a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program required.

2. MSN Required.

Licensures/Certifications:

1. Licensed by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing Examiners as a Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

2. Provider BLS (American Heart Assoc/American Red Cross) required.

3. Require ACLS certification.

4. May require PALS (pediatric advanced life support).

5. Successful completion of the MLH credentialing process through the Medical Staff office, with temporary or permanent privileges approved.
