Job summary

Lifekind Health in Indio, CA is seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner to join our UTC care team. The NP will evaluate and manage chronic pain, collaborate with pain specialists and complementary providers, and participate in a multidisciplinary care plan designed to improve patient outcomes within our innovative care model.

The ideal candidate holds an active CA NP license, current NP board certification, and DEA registration, with preference for experience in pain management and a multimodal

Qualifications

• Active NP or PA license in California
• Current Board Certification as NP is required
• Current DEA registration or eligibility to obtain DEA registration
• 1+ year of NP/PA experience preferred
• Experience in pain management or interest in this area preferred
• Comfort with multimodal, evidence-based care approaches

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and manage chronic pain as part of comprehensive care plans
• Collaborate with pain management specialists and other providers to develop multimodal strategies
• Perform interventional pain procedures as trained and credentialed
• Educate patients on safe pain management and opioid stewardship
• Monitor treatment efficacy and adjust plans for function and quality of life
• Deliver holistic care in a transdisciplinary model with other health partners
• Develop and adjust comprehensive care plans with measurable outcomes
• Assess health through interviews, exams, and histories
• Diagnose conditions and order/interpret labs per protocols
• Document encounters within 72 hours of visit
• Prescribe and dispense medications within licensure and privileges
