Job summary

Yoh is seeking a Nurse Practitioner for a contract assignment in Swiftwater, PA. The NP will perform physical exams, health surveillance, vaccination administration, emergency response, and treatment.

Schedule Mon/Wed/Fri 8:30 AM–5:00 PM; duration through 12/18 with possible extension or direct placement. Requirements include active NP license, ANCC or AANP, MSN, BLS, 2+ years occ health; pay range $60-75/hr; benefits and Yoh network.

Qualifications

• Active nurse practitioner license/certification to practice.
• Current national certification (ANCC or AANP).
• Master’s degree in science of nursing.
• BLS certification.
• 2+ years occupational health experience.
• Experience in urgent care or emergency settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs physical examinations and preventive health measures.
• Orders, interprets, and evaluates diagnostic tests.
• Records physical findings and formulates care plans.
• Collaborates with physicians and other health professionals.
• Prescribes or recommends medications or therapies.
• Refers patients for consultation or other resources.
• Maintains medical records (EMR capable).
• Educates nursing staff on best practices.
• May perform additional duties.

Job description

Nurse Practitioner needed for a contract opportunity with Yoh’s biopharmaceutical client located in Swiftwater, PA. This NP will be providing physical exams, medical surveillance testing evaluation, vaccination administration, as well as emergency response and treatment.

Schedule: Mon, Wed, Fri 8:30a-5p

Duration: 11/16-12/18 with possible extension or direct placement

Pay: $60-75/hr DOE

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Performs physical examinations and preventive health measures within prescribed guidelines and instructions of Physician.
• Orders, interprets, and evaluates diagnostic tests to identify and assess patients’ clinical problems and health care needs.
• Records physical findings, and formulates plan and prognosis, based on patient’s condition. Provides written home-going instructions.
• Collaborates with Physician and other health professionals to prepare comprehensive patient care plan as necessary.
• Prescribes or recommends medications or other forms of treatment such as physical therapy, inhalation therapy, or related therapeutic procedures.
• Refers patients to Physician for consultation or to specialized health resources for treatment.
• Maintains medical records using (In some health centers it may be using Electronic Medical Record software).
• Educates and coaches nursing staff on best nursing practices.
• May require other duties as assigned.

What You Need to Bring to the Table:

• All nurse practitioner licenses/certificates to practice
• Current national certification (ANCC or AANP required)
• Master Degree in Science of Nursing
• BLS certification
• 2+ years of Occ Health experience required
• Experience in urgent care, emergency, or related preferred
