The Nurse Practitioner position in Swiftwater, PA is a contract opportunity with Yoh, A Day & Zimmermann Company. The NP will perform physical exams, vaccination administration, and emergency response according to physician guidance, with a focus on occupational health. Schedule is Mon/Wed/Fri 8:30am–5:00pm.

Duration is 11/16–12/18 with possible extension or direct placement. Requires NP license, Master’s in nursing, national certification, and BLS.

• National certification (ANCC or AANP) required.
• BLS certification.
• 2+ years of Occupational Health experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs physical examinations and preventive health measures.
• Orders and interprets diagnostic tests.
• Records findings and formulates care plans with prognosis.
• Collaborates with physicians and health professionals.
• Prescribes medications or therapies as appropriate.
• Refers patients to physicians or specialists.
• Maintains medical records (EMR).
• Educates nursing staff on best practices.
• May perform other duties as assigned.

Job description

Nurse Practitioner needed for a contract opportunity with Yoh’s biopharmaceutical client located in Swiftwater, PA. This NP will be providing physical exams, medical surveillance testing evaluation, vaccination administration, as well as emergency response and treatment.

Schedule: Mon, Wed, Fri 8:30a-5p

Duration: 11/16-12/18 with possible extension or direct placement

Pay: $60-75/hr DOE

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Performs physical examinations and preventive health measures within prescribed guidelines and instructions of Physician.
• Orders, interprets, and evaluates diagnostic tests to identify and assess patients’ clinical problems and health care needs.
• Records physical findings, and formulates plan and prognosis, based on patient’s condition. Provides written home-going instructions.
• Collaborates with Physician and other health professionals to prepare comprehensive patient care plan as necessary.
• Prescribes or recommends medications or other forms of treatment such as physical therapy, inhalation therapy, or related therapeutic procedures.
• Refers patients to Physician for consultation or to specialized health resources for treatment.
• Maintains medical records using (In some health centers it may be using Electronic Medical Record software).
• Educates and coaches nursing staff on best nursing practices.
• May require other duties as assigned.

What You Need to Bring to the Table:

• All nurse practitioner licenses/certificates to practice
• Current national certification (ANCC or AANP required)
• Master Degree in Science of Nursing
• BLS certification
• 2+ years of Occ Health experience required
• Experience in urgent care, emergency, or related preferred
