Job summary

Iron County Medical Center has a position opening for a Full-time NURSE PRACTITIONER. To work with our ER/Swing Bed team in determining and supporting the diagnoses, treatments, and continuity of care for ICMC patients.

Responsibilities include diagnosing and treating hospital inpatients, prescribing medications, ordering and interpreting tests, and coordinating care with hospital staff. Strong communication, documentation, and EMR proficiency are essential to success in this role.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree and NP training covering basic disease and illness treatment and prevention.
  • Coordination of care and health promotion.
  • A strong focus on clinical excellence and patient satisfaction; exceptional interpersonal, communication, and documentation skills.
  • Critical thinking and logical problem resolution skills a must
  • Working knowledge of hospital protocols and processes needed with emphasis on EMR system.
  • Advanced organizational skills with emphasis on efficient, cost-effective scheduling required.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively at all levels in a collaborative team environment.
  • Walking, standing, sitting, bending, stooping, kneeling, reaching, twisting, and turning, pushing/pulling objects from awkward positions; ability to lift items weighing up to 50 lbs. and moving patients up to 300 lbs. with assistance; vision, hearing, and dexterity skills within normal limits.
  • Effective verbal communication and documentation skills mandatory
