  • Identify mistakes in reports and check with doctors to obtain the correct information.
  • Review and edit transcribed reports or dictated material for spelling, grammar, clarity, consistency, and proper medical terminology.
  • Transcribe dictation for a variety of medical reports, such as patient histories, physical examinations, emergency room visits, operations, chart reviews, consultation, or discharge summaries.

Iron County Medical Center has immediate opening for a PART-TIME MEDICAL SCRIBE position available.

Responsibilities:

  • Candidates interested in this position must be able to walk briskly, stand for long periods of time, bend, kneel, reach, stoop, twist, turn, push, and pull objects. Good dexterity, hearing, vision, and verbal communication skills required, as well as ability to lift at least 40 pounds without assistance.
  • Successful candidate is required to wear designated work attire while on campus during work hours.
