Qualifications

  • Must have high school diploma; rural clinic experience preferred.
  • Associate degree in Medical Assistance or LPN/RN licensure preferred.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills required.
  • Experience with medical software and Office applications.

  • Ensure patient care is the number one priority by implementing efficient clinic processes.
  • Promptly and courteously address patient issues and concerns.
  • Ensure clinic staff duties are completed timely and efficiently.
  • Exhibit professional, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Coordinate and train clinic staff; cross-training where needed.
  • Serve as liaison between patients, clinic/hospital staff, and external institutions.
  • Provide reports to CNO/CEO and report critical issues timely.
  • Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.

Job description

Iron County Medical Center (ICMC) has an opening for a Full Time Practice Manager in the Rural Healthcare Clinic. The candidate who fills this position will supervise the clinic staff and have responsibility for the overall clinic processes and procedures.

Responsibilities:

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES for this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Ensuring that patient care is always the number one priority of all clinic staff and providers by establishing and implementing effective and efficient processes and procedures for all functions of the clinic.
  • Ensure that all patient issues and concerns are addressed promptly and courteously.
  • Ensure that all duties and responsibilities of clinic staff are being accomplished as timely, efficiently, and effectively as possible.
  • Exhibits high level of professional, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Ensure that all clinic staff members are well-trained in their duties and cross-trained in other duties.
  • Coordinate and provide assistance as needed with all clinic functions .
  • Serve as liaison between patients, clinic staff, hospital staff and other medical and/or business institutions.
  • Provide report to CNO/CEO and report critical issues on a timely basis.
  • Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
Skills and Abilities:

Required Education, Knowledge, and Skills:

  • Must be a high school graduate at minimum. Preference will be given to candidates with prior training and experience in a rural clinic setting and/or those with an associate degree in Medical Assistance. Can also be an LPN or RN
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a positive attitude are necessary to succeed in a team environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills and very good organizational skills required.
  • Working knowledge of medical software programs , Microsoft Office and required RHC licensing and accreditation requirements preferrable.
  • Must project a professional, friendly, and courteous attitude at all times.
  • Must be able to multi-task, exercise good judgment, be dependable, and capable of independently conducting assigned tasks and day-to-day duties in an efficient and professional manner.
  • Must have courteous, confident, and respectful telephone skills (listen well, speak clearly, and respond politely).
  • Physical capabilities in accordance with Position Description.
